Kaamulan Half Marathon Top 10 Winners and Photos

Special thanks to fellow Malaybalay Runner Maria Theresa "Matet" Quirino for giving me the list of winners of the recent Kaamulan Half Marathon held last Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 in Malaybalay City. I found out that a Kenyan actually won the 21K race with a time of 1:11:05. Jophat Kiptanni, the lone non-Pinoy participant, certainly added "international flavor" to the race. Run champions from the cities of Tangub, Iligan and Cagayan de Oro along with local bets from Malaybalay also comprised the highly competitive field.

Running Goals After My First Marathon Finish

 (Image from inlpcenter.com)

After achieving my biggest running goal (so far) of finishing my first marathon last month in Cebu City, I figured out that it is now time to set new goals for myself. I believe that by creating this list , I'm giving myself motivation to get going and keep on enjoying my runs.

I divided this list into two parts: (1) goals that I would want to achieve within this year and (2) goals that I would like to achieve this year or beyond.

Cebu Marathon 2012 (My First 42K): Having the Faith to Finish

After the half-way turning point in Talisay City, we're back running in the SRP road. At this point I am very thankful for the gloomy weather as it is the sun's intense heat which I dreaded most in my long runs. Since the SRP was closed to vehicles, we, the runners had it all to ourselves. The scenery was lovely and the morning was calm, I began taking more photos with my cellphone during my walk breaks.
