Mindanao Week of Peace Friendship Run (Malaybalay City)

Participants before the start of the race.

The 2011 Mindanao Week of Peace Friendship Run was one truly enjoyable fun run. It was held last December 4 in Malaybalay City with Start and Finish Line at the Freedom Park (officially called City Covered Court). What made this event unique from other fun run I have joined was its "team running" concept. There are no individual categories and participants must form their own respective teams and finish the race together.

Beach Running in Camotes

 Self-timed pic

More than a month ago, my wife and I went to Camotes Islands to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. Camotes is a group of islands which form part of Cebu province. It is about 2 hours away from Danao City via ferry boat ride.

I'm in The Bull Runner Magazine!

Wahahaha!!! The letter I sent to The Bull Runner was published in the recent issue of the running magazine. Check out the TBR Inbox section of the November-December 2011 issue to see my letter along with the pic of me and my wife taken during the BCB Fun Run 2 last September. Though my letter was not chosen as the winning entry (I could have won a Nike Shoes!), it still feel great to see my name and photo published in one of the country's most popular running magazine.
